What is the standard business card size?
In the US and Canada the standard is 3.5 × 2 in (88.9 × 50.8 mm). Most of Europe and the UK use 85 × 55 mm, and the ISO ID-1 / credit-card size is 85.6 × 54 mm. Japan uses 91 × 55 mm and China 90 × 54 mm. This tool includes presets for all of them.
How much bleed and safe margin do business cards need?
Most printers ask for 0.125 in (3 mm) bleed on every side and a safe zone of about 0.125 in (3 mm) inside the trim. Extend backgrounds all the way to the bleed line and keep text, logos and anything important inside the safe margin so it is never trimmed off.
Can I make a rounded-corner business card?
Yes — set a corner radius and the cut, bleed and safe lines all round together. Common radii are 0.125 in (3 mm) for a subtle round and 0.25 in (6 mm) for a soft, modern look. Leave it at 0 for standard square corners.
What about folded business cards?
Choose a Fold option to add a green crease line. A folded card doubles one dimension on the flat sheet — for example a 3.5 × 2 in card with a top fold prints on a 3.5 × 4 in flat sheet. The tool shows the flat sheet size and keeps the fold on its own
creases layer.Will it print at the correct real-world size?
Yes. The SVG exports with real physical dimensions (inches or millimeters) and a matching coordinate system, so it opens at 1:1 scale in Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity, Canva, Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design Space and print RIPs. Put your artwork on its own layer and align it to the dieline.
