What is a sticker dieline?
A sticker (or label) dieline is the vector template that tells the printer and cutter exactly where to cut your sticker. The red die-cut line is the final shape, the blue bleed line is where your background should extend to, and the gray safe line marks where to keep text and logos so nothing important is trimmed off.
What is the difference between die-cut and kiss-cut?
Die-cut cuts through both the vinyl and the paper backing, so the sticker matches your shape exactly. Kiss-cut only cuts the vinyl and leaves the backing intact, so the sticker sits on a larger square or rectangular backing that's easy to peel. Both use the same cut line from this tool — the difference is just how deep the blade goes.
How much bleed and safe margin do stickers need?
A 0.125 in (3 mm) bleed and a matching 0.125 in (3 mm) safe margin work for most stickers and labels. Round and irregular shapes can drift slightly during cutting, so the bleed and safe zone are especially important — extend your background to the bleed line and keep text well inside the safe line.
Which shapes and sizes can I make?
Circle, rounded rectangle, rectangle, square and oval — in any custom size, plus presets for the most common sticker and label sizes (round 1–4 in / 25–65 mm, address labels like Avery 5160, shipping labels 4 × 6 in, and more). Rectangles and rounded rectangles support an adjustable corner radius.
Will it print and cut at the correct real-world size?
Yes. The SVG exports with real physical dimensions (inches or millimeters) and a matching coordinate system, so it opens at 1:1 scale in Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity, Silhouette Studio, Cricut Design Space and print RIPs. Put your artwork on its own layer and align it to the cut line.
